Cosmic Collision

Two stars collide

And the random

Yet constant

Order of things

Come to a standstill

The vast canvas

Of space

With its background

Of black

Peppered with white

Bright light

Is invaded

By an explosion of gases

With frequencies so high

Is it a new planet?

The galaxy is not the same

The sun

Spinning perfectly

On its axis

Warming worlds

Comfortable with

Its location

In the Universe

Refuses

To make space

For the new entity

Is he too set in his ways?

Is he a little afraid?

Will he make way for the shooting star?

Or will he leave the galaxy cold,

Without a sign of new life

When he dies?
