White space organizes the flow of a page and is the empty space between elements in a design – text, images, fonts, buttons, and graphics. They create structure and order just as silence adds structure to music.
Doesn’t your brain need that structure and order too – a little time away from constant rumination and problem solving? Take a break.
Do these two simple activities for between 10-30 minutes each day:
- Be fully present and take deep breaths during any activity – walking, washing dishes, meditating, relaxing on the couch, or doing a deep stretch.
- Then sit for a little while, silently listening to your thoughts then journal them.
That’s it!
